Cyrille Phipps has worked as a cameraperson, editor and production coordinator for many documentaries, such as MUHAMMAD ALI : THE WHOLE STORY (Aired on TNT), FRAMING THE PANTHERS ( Aired on PBS) and A QUESTION OF EQUALITY, ( A PBS 4 – Part Series).

Paper Tiger Television:
As a member of Paper Tiger Television, a collective of media educators and activists, Cyrille contributed to the production of several PPTV videos. She was also responsible for the distribution of nearly 300 PPTV tapes to universities, colleges and institutions in the U.S. and Canada.

Black Planet Productions:
Cyrille was a producer and co-founder of Black Planet Productions, a video collective which produced the award winning series, Not Channel Zero – the revolution, televised, an alternative news and cultural forum dealing with issues concerning the African American and Latino communities.

As a producer of this grassroots series, which has been broadcast on public access stations across the country, she co-directed several shows for the series. BLACK WOMEN, SEXUAL POLITICS AND THE REVOLUTION, an award winning video that examined race and sexual politics within the African American community as it relates to the revolutionary/ political movements. Another award winning video was OUR HOUSE: GAYS AND LESBIANS IN THE HOOD. A controverisal
video that looks at homophobia and homosexuality in the Black community. Both videos have been used in college and universities across the country as an educational tool to dialogue around issues such as homophobia, sexism and racism.
